FTC is made up of a proven team of professionals each with over 25 years of experience in the CTA space. In a joint venture with Hill Financial Group, FTC helped to design the trading algorithm and provided back office support on the MSP (Multiple Strategy Program). The MSP program, managed by HFG, spanned 11 years and had assets of up to $177 million. Known throughout the trading industry, our principals have authored several sought after books, spoke at seminars throughout the world, and have appeared in magazines and trade journals. With this foundation in strategic development, the team at FTC provides significant preparation for managing today’s market environment.
Mr. Hill has researched thousands of trading systems utilizing a multitude of indicators across varied sectors and asset classes. He has brought his applied engineering and mathematical background to trading technology as well as authoring several books on trading techniques including The Ultimate Trading Guide and Building Winning Trading Systems with TradeStation . Over the past 30 years, Mr. Hill as consulted with multiple institutional firms and been a featured speaker at conferences around the world.
George Pruitt – Director of Research
For the past for 22 years George Pruitt has been the FTC quantitative specialist in the area of technical trading strategies. He was instrumental in the development of the models used by Hill Financial Group, a $177 million CTA program. As a key member of FTC, he led the research and consulting team for the Okina Japanese project and has written several books including The Ultimate Trading Guide and Building Winning Trading Systems with TradeStation and articles on creating trading systems. He was also involved in the development of the FTC testing platform Excalibur and has been featured in Futures, SFO and Active Traders Magazines.
Holliston Hurd – Managing Director
With more than 20 years in the futures industry, Ms. Hurd has been a researcher and trader. She is the Head of Marketing and Product Development for FTC. Ms. Hurd is the owner of Hill Financial Group, the CTA which managed $177 million. Ms. Hurd has been featured in several journals including Fortune, Futures and USA Today, and she has been a guest on CNBC.
Lundy Hill – Manager Alternate Office
A former floor trader and co-author of The Ultimate Trading Guide, Mr. Hill assisted in the developement of the trading strategies that FTC utilizes. Spending most of his time on research and development, he is looking at new strategies for the firm.
